2015 S1000D User Forum and ILS Specifications Day, 21-24 September, San Diego, CA
The S1000D User Forum and ILS Specifications Day this year was hosted by AIA in San Diego, CA on September 21-24, 2015.
The S1000D User Forum was started with updates from ATA e-Business, AIA and ASD and reports from the S1000D Council and Steering Committee on status and future of S1000D.
During the two forum days there was a large variety of technical presentations on data and conversion challenges, applications and use cases, management and implementation as well as vendor presentations and demonstrations. This was showing the high level of S1000D maturity, the large choice of available vendor solutions and the worldwide use of S1000D in the defense industry and civil aviation.
The ILS Specification Day was concentrating on updates of the specification status of the whole S-series of ILS specifications including an update from the Data Model and Exchange Working Group and ASD-STE-100.
An interesting presentation “The application of ASD standards in the NATO AGS program” was showing the integrated use of several S-series specifications.
The 2016 S1000D User Forum and ILS Specifications Day will take place on September 26-29 in Seville hosted by Spanish Association for Defense, Security and Space Technology Companies (TEDAE).
