PDM-IF Infrastructure PDM-IF Infrastructure

In order to share documents and services related to the Implementor Forum activities, an infrastructure built on open source components is needed, including:

  • A PDM-IF platform on which it will be possible to manage securely the use cases, the test scenarios, the test data and the test results of the Implementor Forum;
  • Qualified testing capabilities as part of the PDM-IF platform;
  • The testing capabilities should be freely available for implementors willing to test their solutions.

A non-exhaustive list of the platform requirements is provided below:

  • The testing capabilities should be aligned with the methodology used for formalizing recommended practices and performing the tests;
  • The testing capabilities will support testing XML based interchange (PSM XML, BO Model XML);
  • The testing capabilities will support testing EXPRESS/P21 based interchange (PDM-CAx interchange);
  • The testing capabilities will support testing EXPRESS/P26 binary based interchange (HDF5)
  • The testing capabilities will support testing usage of RDL and templates;
  • The testing capabilities will be able to exploit UML/SySML models of the Recommended practices;
  • The testing capabilities should allow to receive data from a PDM system providing P21 or XML file;
  • The testing capabilities should allow receiving data from a system through web services;
  • The access to the platform capabilities will be controlled through logon and roles.
